RMW Images- Paintings and Drawings

Welcome to my web page

My name is Robert Waight, I am an artist living in Treuddyn Nr. Mold in Flintshire. I have lived most of my life in this area (Mold, Chester, Penyffordd, Buckley, Treuddyn). I paint in oils and draw with pencils. I also do a few small sculptures in cedar.

Oil Paintings

Oil is my favourite medium to use because it can be re-worked and I like the translucent effects that can be achieved. Please click on the box on left to see example of my work. These include urban landscapes of Mold.

Drawings are good fun to do. I mostly use graphite in the range 2H 3B.

I have done a small number of wood sculptures. I use cedar wood, it is easy to use and has a great aroma.

In Progress

Works in progress. Watch them develop ..... I like this approach, I do the work and you get to see how it is developing. Not many artists offer that option!

About me.

I have shown paintings in a number of exhibitions including the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA) held at Gordale Garden Centre on the Wirral (although in that I displayed under the name Mike Freshwater). I have also been one of the profiled artists in the magazine Artists and Illustrators.

Why not get your favourite photograph of a child or wedding drawn and watch its progress? I can usually complete these within two weeks and you can see progress from day to day.

For examples see this, In progress link.
